@MessageNear when it's finished and in your inventory right click it and press "Attach to" then you'd probably choose "spine" if you want it across his back. Once you do that, you will be wearing the item. Just go into edit mode and position it on his back. Once it's the way you like it, just detach it. Then, In your inventory if you select it this time, and press wear, it wil automatically be put back on the way you just set it to.

The tiniest prim I ever made was so small I could never find it, even with it fullbright, 1 glow and the environment set to midnight.
